Day 1, Saturday, Jun 18. Today we arrive in St. Louis Mo. We will transfer by hotel shuttle to our hotel and rest up for the tour that begins tomorrow.
Day 2, Sunday, Jun 19. This morning at 8 a.m. we depart for Nauvoo. On the way we will be filled with mixed emotions as we visit Carthage Jail and visitor center. We will have an opportunity to go to Sacrament Meeting in Nauvoo, visit the visitors center and take wonderful pictures.
Day 3, Monday, Jun 20. Today is our day to visit the beautiful Nauvoo Temple. If you choose to and are able you may do a temple session. (Make sure that we have record of your choice to do this. We are required to advise the temple of those whom will be attending.)
Day 4, Tuesday, Jun 21. Today we will explore and search old sites in Nauvoo as well as the Old Nauvoo Cemetery.
Day 5, Wednesday, Jun 22. Today is a travel day to one of our most memorable church history spots, Winter Quarters. On the way we will make an exclusive stop at Mt. Pisgah where one of the Iowa Saints' encampments is located. Bob Brown will put you on the tractor driven trailer built to seat 60 and retrace this fascinating part of pioneer history. Past Church History travelers call this stop one of their favorite insights into their ancestors' legacy. At Winter Quarters, we will have the opportunity to witness the hill where many of our pioneer forefathers are buried and tour the temple grounds. The Visitors Center and graveyard will leave lasting impressions of gratitude for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their religion. We will stay in Omaha tonight.
Day 6, Thursday, Jun 23. Today we travel to Far West which unfolds many Pioneer memories. We visit Liberty Jail where the Prophet was held for over four months during the winder of 1838-39. We go to Independence and visit the Community of Christ Temple Lot Church and related spots. We will witness a beautiful picture of the Savior's second coming as we enter our LDS Visitors Center. We overnight in Independence.
Day 7, Friday, Jun 24. Today we see the past and the future meet in the beautiful valley of Adam-Ondi-Ahman. Nearby, we also have the chance to experience the Amish community in Jamesport, Mo. This evening we stay in the Hannibal Mo. home of Mark Twain.
Day 8, Saturday, Jun 25. After breakfast we leave early for St. Louis. If time permits before our flight home, we will visit a local museum and the Cahokia mounds to learn about Book of Mormon evidences in North America. Flights depart at 2 p.m. or later.
